3D Laser Scanning

In addition to indoor scanning, the FARO Focus3D X 330 is specially designed for outdoor applications due to its small size, light weight, extended range (i.e., 1,000 feet), capabilities in direct sunlight, and easy positioning with the integrated GPS receiver. A single accident scene scan comprised of millions of data points can be performed in minutes with multiple scans typically required for complete documentation. Accurate 3D colored scene models can then be constructed within AutoCAD or 3ds Max from the scan data for animation or measurement purposes. Additionally, rough “fly through” animations of the scans can be performed in minutes to allow for greater perspectives at minimal cost.
